Hands on creative groups

Artes y Manualidades

Join us for art you can make from the comfort of your home. The projects will use common items found in your home to create something wonderful. The instruction is Bilingual English/Spanish, so all are welcome.

The project for this week is to be determined.

Community Arts with Sophie

Come join Sophie for an interactive virtual art group. This group makes art from regular household items. Our goal is to create connections while in isolation. Supplies you will want to have available include paper (newspaper, printer paper, junk mail, etc.), scissors and something to write with. We will spend time each week planning for the next session based on supplies, needs and desires.

Start saving those toilet paper rolls, tissue boxes, cardboard, photos.

Journaling

Journal writing can be a form of meditation, stress relief and self-expression. This class incorporates drawing, mark making, collage and creative writing techniques to give participants the tools and inspiration to explore their creative side.

Memory Booking

Memory Booking is multimedia journaling using photos, memorabilia and embellishments. You can make a book to honor a loved one, welcome a new family member, or recognize a life transition. This can be a project to commemorate an important relationship or celebrate your independence. Make this book as a gift for someone or as a place to put your private thoughts and feelings.

If you register for one class, you will be subsequently registered for all following Memory Booking classes.
Thursdays | 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.

Sewing with Sophie

Come together and share what you are creating with other makers; sewers, knitters and crocheters. All are welcome!

This can be a time to share patterns, discuss resources, ask questions or get support to work through the projects that are giving you purpose.

The Kitchen Table

Gather every month for a new recipe. We will share the recipe and ingredients ahead of time so you can prepare!

Unleash Your Creativity

Art can be great for mind, body and spirit! Chase away the stress of the day and join Audra Eisin-Banazek in an art group perfect for anyone new to art-making, as well as the seasoned professional. Using simple materials from around the home, we will explore creativity while connecting with others. The motto of this group: There is no wrong way to make art!

Projects will differ each week with materials and desires of the participants in mind.

Suggested materials: Pens, pencils or any drawing materials, paper (scrap paper is fine), scissors, junk mail, old magazines. We will work with whatever you are comfortable with and are inspired by.
