Your time is our most valued gift
NOTE: In response to recommendations surrounding COVID-19, our in-person programming and in-person volunteer opportunities are currently suspended. Please check our page with information about the Coronavirus and Gilda’s Club Chicago.
You are welcome to complete a volunteer application at this time. Volunteer orientations will be scheduled when our in-person programming resumes.
Become a volunteer
Volunteers at Gilda’s Club Chicago are looking to make a difference and are dedicated to our mission to ensure that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Our volunteers are a reflection of our organization and we are looking for a diverse group of people to fill a wide range of volunteering experiences. There are numerous opportunities to help out. Find the one that fits you best and shares your skills.
Just a few of our volunteer roles...
Front Desk/Receptionist Volunteer
Be the smiling face of Gilda’s Club Chicago by welcoming members and assisting at the reception desk.
Get in some “play” time by working with children and teens during social activities, supervised play, holiday parties and other structured activities hosted in Noogieland. There are special requirements for this area of volunteerism including a background check.
Spread the word about Gilda’s Club Chicago in the community by helping with our outreach initiatives, and representing us at events.
Lend a hand with educational lectures and cooking demonstrations.
Team Gilda Runner
Become a Team Gilda Runner and participate in charitable racing events to help promote Gilda’s Club and possibly raise some money. To participate or sponsor a runner, click here. To find out more, contact Bradford Newquist at 312-464-9900 or email.
We welcome support from healthcare practitioners and certified professionals to help facilitate support groups, networking groups, educational lectures and workshops. We can often put your skills to work, whether you’re a yoga instructor, an exercise therapist, a nutritionist, a social worker, or a chef.
