4th Tuesday of the Month | 6:00 PM – 7:30 | Virtual
This group is for people living with cancer and/or caring for someone with cancer who are in that “in-between” stage of life—not quite young adults, but not quite 50+ either.
Maybe you’re on the older end of the young adult spectrum and finding that your experiences are different from someone in their 20s or from those who are 50 and older. You might be balancing a career while navigating treatment, raising young children, or facing other life challenges that come with this stage of life.
If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you join us. While the group meets virtually, we’ll also plan quarterly in-person gatherings to provide opportunities to connect face-to-face.
If you’re an older young adult who continues to benefit from Gilda’s Club’s Young Adult support groups, you’re welcome to attend both groups.
Facilitated by Ali Vernasco, LCSW
Gilda’s Club Chicago’s monthly support groups are facilitated by a licensed mental health professional, medical professional and/or community partner. Monthly support groups are intended for adults. To help ensure a meaningful group experience, we’re introducing a new policy for monthly groups: if a group has fewer than the minimum number of required registrants 24 hours prior, that session will be cancelled. We encourage you to register early to help keep groups running as scheduled. Registration for support groups must be done through the online calendar.
For those new to Gilda’s Club, attending a Beyond the Red Door: Orientation is required before attending a Monthly Support Group. These take place every week and you can register at www.gildasclubchicago.org/calendar.
