Next in our Meet the Team series is Jasmine Carrazco!

Jasmine Carrazco, Hispanic Community Program Coordinator, began her time with Gilda’s Club Chicago as a clinical intern and transitioned into a staff role as Bilingual Program Coordinator in 2019. Jasmine obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish at DePaul and received her Master of Social Work degree program at DePaul as well where she is focused on Community Practice. Jasmine has experience with individual counseling, group facilitation, crisis intervention, and is currently working on research involving Intimate Partner Violence and Traumatic Brain Injury.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
My favorite thing is connecting with our GCC community members and learning about their life’s journey.
What’s your go-to coffee order (or favorite drink to start the day)
Cold brew with any variety of sweet cold foam
Do you have a hidden talent?
Fantasy Football: I have won my family’s league twice and I’m eyeing a three-pete!
What’s a TV show, movie, or book you could rewatch or reread over and over?
Gilmore Girls, especially in the Fall and Winter months!
Do you have pets?
I have 2 dogs
If you could pick up a new skill or hobby instantly, what would it be?
Baking bread!
What’s your favorite Chicago neighborhood or burb?
My favorite neighborhoods are Wicker Park, Humboldt Park, and Pilsen
